My dream web content writing job

My dream web content writing job

My dream writing job popped up late last year.  I’m now in my 10th year of working freelance as a web content writer and all I can say is that it’s certainly been worth the wait.

Web content writing about VW Campervans

And the topic?  VW Campervans!!  Amazing.  I adore VW Campervans and it’s my dream to own one.  Writing about VW Campervans is the next best thing to owning one so you can imagine my delight when I got the email asking if I would be interested to update the web content and to write a regular blog post.  Yippee!!

VW campervan

Web content writing – VW campervans

For those of you who are interested (and I’m doing a bit of a sales pitch here) you can hire VW Campervans anywhere in the country with  From classic VW Westfalia campervans and pop-up roof campervans to bay window VW campers and the larger T5 models.  And they all have such wonderful names such as Henry and Maggie, Christian and Mrs Robinson.  And those colours…. oh, those colours, they’re all so delicious with names such as sky blue, mango, caramel and sea green.

So far I’ve written web content on Campervanning in Gloucestershire, Campervanning in Durham, Campervanning in East Sussex, and Campervanning in Staffordshire.  Who knows where I’ll be campervanning off to next…

All good things come to web content writers who wait

It’s times like this when being a web content writer is definitely worth it. I think it’s one of the reasons that keeps me going, I just never know what I’ll be asked to write about next.  To have to sit down all day in front of a screen is not too great, and yet, to sit down all day and write about campervans kind of makes up for the sitting and lack of movement.  And it’s certainly my kind of heaven.

Hopefully, this web content writing job is a sign that the real thing is on the way.  Now, wouldn’t that be nice.  For now, all I can say is, all good things come to those who wait.

Britain used to be a moderate, good-natured, and fundamentally calm country, which celebrated its practical judgment and resistance to utopianism. Three years of culture war have basically driven it insane

Brutal and brilliant analysis of @borisjohnson by someone who knows him well ... “Almost the only people who think Johnson a nice guy are those who do not know him.”

Today "Our Trees" - a docu-drama about the awesome Sheffield Tree campaigners & their fight to save Sheffield's trees - aired on @BBCRadio4. 'Heartwood', a poem I wrote in protection of the trees, was part of it.
The poem's below––& the programme's here:
